The
principal point: the paper point
Samples
from gingival sulcus or periodontal pockets can be obtained by using paper
points. You must select localizations of interest and remove supragingival
plaque from dental surface with a cotton.
Then,
insert a sterile #45 paper point into the gingival sulcus or periodontal
pocket and wait for 60 seconds. Introduce the paper point in a sampling
tube.
For cumulated samples, all the paper points will be introduced in the
same tube. If you want to analyze each localization separately, you must
use one tube for each point.
