Gum pain and periodontal disease
Gum diseases (gingivitis and periodontitis) normally don’t cause pains, thus they don’t always warn of an imminent disease. The absence of pain does not mean absence of gingivitis or periodontitis.
Just in case of acute gum infection, intense gum pain will be noticed. In most cases it must be treated with antibiotics.
Therefore we recommend you to carry out a periodic gum problems auto-evaluation.
