Conditions
to mantain the periodontal disease samples
DNA
is a very resistant molecule. It is possible to analyze samples from ancient
animals because DNA has been preserved by thousands of years.
Subgingival periodontal disease samples must be preserve at 4ºC (refrigerator) until it will
be sent for analysis. However, DNA also can be preserved at room temperature
if it is not in liquid medium.
During
shipping, it can be kept at room temperature with no problem, so samples
can be sent by ordinary mail.
